No one beats a Trojan

It’s no secret that Melanie “The Beast” Moore, Marietta’s darling and Lassiter High School prom queen, won the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer” on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance last Thursday. I’m a ginormous fan of the show, so needless to say that when I found out that my fellow Trojan (yes, that’s Lassiter’s mascot... don’t even get me started) made it into the top 20, I put her voting phone number on speed dial every week without fail. It was a close race between her and “Warrior Princess” Sasha, but Melanie clearly dominated the final night night of competition and came out on top with 48% of the 11 million votes cast last Wednesday. Tadd the Shirtless Adonis and Marko the Prodigal Son totally failed to impress anyone on the final night and went home a distant 3rd and 4th.

Our friends at Good Day Atlanta on Fox5 got to meet Melanie yesterday, and here’s Gurvir Dhindsa’s interview with the best dancing pixie on the planet. Yes, I’m totes jealous that she didn’t stop by here on her hometown tour, but whatevs. I still heart her.
