Big Ears, Knoxville’s internationally celebrated music festival, has supplemented its already dynamic lineup with more artists and collaborations. Perhaps the biggest name is that of eclectic musician/singer Meshell Ndegeocello, who is presenting songs from her brand new album Ventriloquism.

In addition, explosive reed player Mats Gustafsson will team up with Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet), for what promises to be an interesting set. Norwegian powerhouse drummer Paal Nilssen-Love will perform in a duet setting with legendary guitarist Arto Lindsay. And Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo will partner up with improviser extraordinaire Marc Ribot. Solo sets that have been added feature Evan Parker, Okkyung Lee, Ned Rothenberg, Aine O’ Dwyer, and others.

While it may seem like this extended weekend in late March could not be more overflowing with wonderful music, there will most likely be more surprises unveiled over the weeks to come.

Big Ears Festival takes place in Knoxville, Tenn. at various venues from March 22-25, 2018. ]Weekend passes are on sale now. Daily passes go on sale on January 24.
