The Auburn Avenue Research Library and Georgia State University’s Alonzo A. Crim Center will host Dr. Maurice J. Hobson. Hobson will discuss his new book The Legend of the Black Mecca: Politics and Class In the Making of Modern Atlanta. The event will be open to the public.
Cosmo Whyte: Starting A Brush Fire

Jamaican-born, Atlanta-based artist Cosmo Whyte’s first show will be opening at the Marcia Wood Gallery. The gallery has been displaying the work of contemporary Atlanta artists since 2004.

The book details the journey of a Mexican family crossing the border to America, where they are separated from their young daughter.
