The Curb Market July 22, 2017, 7-10 p.m. Taste of Aglanta This urban growers market event features tastings of food and signature cocktails prepared from local produce by chefs and mixers from the Sweet Auburn Curb Market and other Atlanta restaurants. There will also be live jazz by Jules and the Gents, a silent auction and a spoken presentation from the Mayor’s Office of Resilience Urban Agriculture Director, Mario Cambardella, and Groundwork Atlanta Executive Director, Jill Arrington. General admission tickets include unlimited tastings and two drink tickets, which can be bought in advance for cheaper prices as well as student and VIP deals. Proceeds from the market benefit local agriculture production and expansion through Groundwork Atlanta. Details

The Meadows at Piedmont Park July 22, 2017, 11 a.m.-6 p.m 7th Annual Atlanta Ice Cream Festival This popular festival offers free entry into family-friendly activities and ice cream tastings all day. Entertainment will include a kids and adults ice cream eating contest, fitness and yoga routines, hula-hooping and a young chefs showcase. Details

Freedom Farmers Market July 22, 2017, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tomato Day and Freedom Fundraiser This event offers an afternoon of activities and food based on the fresh produce of local tomato farmers. Activities include tomato tasting and variety contest, free bike valet, kids tent and live music. The pop-up chef tent will be serving BLT sandwiches, tomato pasta and fresco panzanella with cornbread. Proceeds from food sales go to the market’s Georgia Fresh For Less program, which helps promote healthy and affordable eating. Details

The Merchant Atlanta at Krog Street Market July 22, 2017, 1-3 p.m. Bar Mercado Preview Pop-Up The Castelluccis’ much anticipated tapas joint, Bar Mercado, is coming to Krog Street Market and their introductory pop-up will feature samples of coca flatbread with chickpea and hearts of palm puree, Spanish smoked vegetables and sauteed oyster mushrooms.
