Ray’s on the River Oct. 6, 2017, 6:30 p.m. Ray’s on The River Wine Dinner Ray’s on The River is partnering with JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery for a special wine dinner on the Chattahoochee River. Executive chef Scott Hemmerly will serve up a fall-inspired five-course menu featuring fresh seafood and locally sourced cuts, paired with different wines from the JUSTIN collection. American Cut Steakhouse - Buckhead Oct. 6, 2017, 7 p.m. Alexana & Revana Wine Dinner West coast wines selected by sommelier Adam Pucillo are the focus of this evening. Wine from Alexana Winery in Oregon and Revana Family Vineyard in California are paired with a five-course dinner prepared by executive chef John Adamson. The menu includes chili-infused oysters, grilled octopus, Wagyu carpaccio, bone-in ribeye and crème brûlée to conclude the evening. Details

Walker Park Oct. 7, 2017, 12:30-5:30 p.m. Edgewood Mac & Cheese Festival Want to find out who makes the best mac and cheese in the city? Come taste and see at the second annual Edgewood Mac & Cheese Festival. Hosted by the Organized Neighbors of Edgewood, the event promises live music, a charitable cause and plentiful amounts of ooey-gooey macaroni and cheese made by Atlanta favorites like Sun in my Belly, Ormsby’s, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and more. Proceeds benefit Neighbor in Need, a nonprofit that helps low-income, elderly residents of East Lake, Kirkwood, Edgewood, East Atlanta and Oakhurst make emergency home repairs. The Garage at Tech Square Oct. 7, 2017, 6-10 p.m. STE(A)M Truck Gala Join the folks behind mobile makerspace and educational vehicle STE(A)M Truck for their first annual evening of celebration. The evening will include chef Todd Ginsberg from the General Muir preparing a special dish, tunes from DJ Believe setting the tone, open bar and drinks specials, games and a silent auction, the VR STE(A)M Truck experience from Artist Life Vision and a performance by rapper 16OS. Brookhaven Park Oct. 7, 2017, 1 p.m. The 6th Atlanta Chili Cook Off Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Brookhaven Park and pick up some inspiration for a new chili recipe at this chili-centric cooking competition. Guests can look forward to unlimited chili tasting, live music and a variety of cold beers and libations. Secret location, various pickup spots Oct. 7, 2017, 5:30 p.m. Le D̨ner en Blanc The fourth annual Le D̨ner en Blanc Atlanta brings everything prim and proper to picnicking. The event location is kept a secret until the night of the event when attendees are picked up throughout the city and dropped off at the site to set up. Attendees of the all-white evening are required to bring their own table setups while catering options are available for purchase for those that do not wish to bring their own dinner. The night then proceeds with a traditional lineup of events, including napkin waving, sparkler lighting and dancing. Details

Empire State South Oct. 8, 2017, 12 p.m. Fuerza Mexico In September, a devastating earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 7.1 hit central Mexico, impacting the Puebla, Morelos and Greater Mexico City areas. In an effort to show solidarity and raise money for the victims, chef TheAnna Unique Garcia is hosting a tasty pop-up with 10 other Atlanta-based chefs to raise money for Los Topos, a nonprofit search and rescue team that delivers aid and recovery services to those in need. Not only will 100 percent of the proceeds go towards Los Topos, a $45 donation will include a full meal and one beverage from the bar. Details
