Andrew Tabb has left his role as executive chef for rapper-turned-restauranteur Ludacrisb much-lauded airport eatery Chicken+Beer. Tabb wrote a note on LinkedIn last week reading, bI am no longer at Chicken+Beer Restaurant. Keep a look out for this next move. The rest of my life is ahead!!!b His bio now reads: bAspiring UX Designer on the rise.b PR for the restaurantbs concessions partner, Jackmont Hospitality, confirmed the departure, noting that Tabbbs wife is pregnant and the chef wished to take some time away from the industry to prepare for his baby. “Jackmont Hospitality and chef Andrew Tabb have mutually agreed to part ways and move on to new endeavors,” a spokesperson for Jackmont told Creative Loafing.B “Chef Andrew Tabb has been with us since the early days of One Flew South and was an integral part of opening Chicken + Beer. He is, and always will be, a cherished part of the Jackmont Hospitality family.”B

A new cocktail, aperitif and coffee bar is headed to the Beltlinebs Eastside Trail. Founders of Ponce City Marketbs 18.21 Bitters, Missy and Kristin Koefod plan on opening George this fall at 659 Auburn Ave. Expect pastries and coffee in the morning and craft cocktails in the evening.

In the name of conservation (and tasty brews), Red Brick Brewing and the Georgia Aquarium have teamed up on a new beer called Whale Shark Wheat. This easy drinking summer brew launches Fri., June 2 and hits shelves on June 5. A portion of sales goes to the aquariumbs whale shark conservation efforts including research trips and equipment.

Chicken Salad Chick opens this summer on Roswell Rd. in Buckhead. bBringing Chicken Salad Chick to the heart of Buckhead has been a goal of mine since starting this venture,b said co-founder and president of Origin Development Group Lauren Fernandez in a press release.

Since the late 1890s, the Rosati family has been serving Italian food in Chicago. Atlanta metro gets its second outpost of Rosatibs Chicago Pizza on Sunday, May 21 on Wieuca Rd. near Roswell Rd., in the space formerly occupied by Chastain Tavern. Deep dish pizza is on the menu.

Roswellbs Little Alley Steak is closer to an opening date in Buckhead, as they have applied for a liquor license. The upscale steakhouse replaces Aja at 3500 Lenox Rd.

A Neapolitan pizzeria and an upscale Mexican joint are coming to Sandy Springsb mixed-use community Modera at Mill Creek in late 2017. The development at 6125 Roswell Rd. recently added The Local Pizzaiolo and Casi Cielo to its roster.

Piedmont Park area restaurant ONE. midtown kitchen is now open for Sunday brunch. Executive chef Matt Weinstein crafted a menu of sweet and savory items available from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The large menu includes healthful salads and grain bowls along with beignets with rhubarb jam, breakfast pizza, crab cake benedict, and a house-made Kit Kat.

City Winery now produces more than wine. Now for sale online and in-store is their own extra virgin olive oil. Sealed in amber bottles, the oil is from California-grown olives from this past fallbs harvest.
