Quick Bites: Talat Market pops into Gato, Regent Cocktail Club meets Havana and more

Candler Parkbs Gato has a new pop-up. Chef Parnass Lim Savang debuts Talat Market this week, beginning tonight. Every Friday through Sunday from 6-10 p.m., Savang will serve traditional Thai recipes from a menu of roughly five dishes. Savang has cooked at Danthai, Empire State South, Kimball House and Staplehouse.

Midtownbs Grain (845 Spring St.) has a brand new menu of dishes with kooky sandwich names like Rockybs Right Arm, The Steel Magnolia, and Sir Lancelotbs Castle. Beverage director Jonathan Turner also revamped the drink menu with cocktails like the Fatal Attraction, with JC$germeister, ancho reyes, aperol and mole bitters.

Krog Street Marketbs Superica (99 Krog St.) celebrates Cinco de Mayo with a patio cookout with festive music, street-style tacos, char-grilled corn, margaritas and tequila shots. The full menu is available all day from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.

May the 4th be with you at Local Three (3290 Northside Parkway N.W.). To celebrate the day, the menu has a full-blown Star Wars theme with dishes like Boba Fettuccini, Padmebs parmesan popcorn, Tauntaun shawarma, Beep_Bloop_Blip Bibimbap and Buffalo chicken x-wing rolls. Guests can sip a Carbonite cup julep, a Boba Fernet, or a Lando Pinot. Light sabres optional.

The Regent Cocktail Club above American Cut in the Shops of Buckhead transports guests away to sultry Havana Nights the first Thursday of every month. The open-air patio with skyline views hosts live Cuban music from 5 p.m. to close starting May 4. Specials include $10 mojitos and a muddle-your-own-mojito station, along with bites like shrimp cocktail, honey sriracha wings and tuna tartare. Evenings include a bSmoke bem if youbve got bemb cigar area.
