Taste of Atlanta turns 16 this year and is moving to Historic Fourth Ward Park. Founder Dale DeSena said in a press release, bThe move pairs the citybs must-do food festival with the ease of walking and biking on Atlantabs Beltline and provides a spacious new permanent home for Taste of Atlanta.b To kick off the weekend of food and drink, Fox Bros Bar-B-Qbs Jonathan and Justin Fox are hosting a Sweet 16 Soiree on Fri., Oct. 20 in its new spot.

On Sun., April 30, Preserving Place (1170 Howell Mill Road) will close its doors for the last time. The small-batch preserved foods and cooking supplies retailer, run by Martha McMillin, has been in business since 2013. McMillin says shebs closing up shop to return to her law career. The shop is hosting a closeout sale of all items.

Tom + Chee, the grilled cheese and tomato soup restaurant near the Mall of Georgia, has closed after two years in operation. The Howell Mill and West Midtown locations of Tom + Chee closed in January and February, respectively. The Kennesaw restaurant remains open.

Second Self Beer Company (1317 Logan Circle N.W.) hosts Hops 4 Hope on Fri., April 28 from 6-8 p.m. A portion of ticket sales from the evening of live music, souvenir pint glasses, brewery tours and games like giant Jenga goes to the Living Room, an organization that provides emergency and transitional housing for people living with HIV/AIDS.

The fourth metro South City Kitchen is coming to Alpharetta. The restaurant is scheduled to open in 2018 inside The Hotel at Avalon with a patio overlooking Avalon Boulevard and a menu that includes signature dishes, like she-crab soup and Springer Mountain Farms buttermilk fried chicken, and seasonal items.B
