Thursday March 1, 2018 07:00 PM EST
Cost: Free

From the venue:

The mission of Agnes Scott College is to “educate women to think deeply, live honorably, and engage the social and intellectual challenges of their times.” The philosophy that shapes the permanent collection considers works of art as teaching tools that benefit the learning environment of the college and reinforce its mission.

The collection contains local and international artists, with an emphasis on women, including Jordan Casteel, Bethany Collins, Sarah Emerson, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, Pam Longobardi, Ruth Laxson, Sally Mann, Jiha Moon, Yasumasa Morimura, Rocio Rodriguez, Katherine Taylor, and Larry Walker.

In the past 2 years, we’ve been delighted to add works by Joseph Beuys, Kojo Griffin, Maria Korol, Catherine Opie, Kara Walker, and Sophia Wallace. Join us as we celebrate these important acquisitions.
