Join us for Urban Forest Festival 2024 as we visit all three locations of the Atlanta’s Children’s Forest Network to activate the forests we love in urban spaces.
The program at the Outdoor Activity Center takes place from 12-7 PM and includes a TON of activities for the entire family. The event at the OAC will be in combination with Fort Negrita’s bEARTHday Fest. The day will include a naturescape painting workshop, a garden workshop, a documentary screening, soil testing, a zine-making station, a clothes swap, youth activities, and much more.
ABOUT THE URBAN FOREST FESTIVAL
Urban Forest Festival is a FULL day of events. Join us for Urban Forest Festival 2024 as we visit all three locations of the Atlanta’s Children’s Forest Network to activate the forests we love in urban spaces. Walk over to Lionel Hampton Beech Nature Preserve and spend the morning with us utilizing this lesser-known West Atlanta trail on a native species hike. Head over to Cascade Springs Nature Preserve to participate in citizen-led stewardship efforts. Lastly, hang out with us at the Outdoor Activity Center for a family-friendly hike, hands-on-activities and exploration of the forests.
