CRITIC’S PICK: This show for Matthew Pendrick’s Americana alter-ego Slow Parade celebrates the collective’s third album release and also serves to showcase some other quality, local acts. Slow Parade’s generally melancholy sound combines folk, country and singer/songwriter approaches with some tougher rockers like “Junker in the Fast Lane.” Openers Cicada Rhythm add jazz and blues to their already quirky stew and The Titos’ “suburban soul” (their description) rounds out a terrific triple bill. — Hal Horowitz
